Jared and Sara – Wed in the foothills of Western Massachusetts.

Every so often (and hopefully more often) I get to take a trip to a new destination and photograph someone’s special day. I was so fortunate to have Sara and Jared ask me to photograph their wedding in Massachusetts. It was a wedding that most dream of. A wonderfully matched couple united so elegantly in the hills of New England in early September.

Their ceremony was held at the enchanting Three Sisters Sanctuary in Goshen, MA. What an awesome place! Listed as one of the top 1000 things to see in Massachusetts, the sanctuary is a beautiful art filled 8 acre space which accommodates everything from weddings to corporate retreats and even community plays and drum circles! Highly recommended to any of my future brides that are considering a New England wedding. 😉 We’d love to go back.

Following the ceremony, the party moved to The Inn at Norton Hill, in Ashfield, MA. My husband grew up in Western Massachusetts, and Ashfield is “hands down” as he would say, one of his favorite towns to visit, especially in late summer/early fall. The town itself is set off a winding road roughly 20 miles from the main highway. A quiet town nestled in the hills. The inn was built in 1795 and features 3 rooms to accomodate the wedding couple and a few guests. An absolutely stunning home. Jared and Sara had a tent set up in the back where the guests enjoyed their meals and some delicious beers on tap. One guest even brought a keg of oatmeal stout that he made just for the wedding. A stage was set at the front of the tent for plenty of live entertainment through the afternoon. Jared’s band, Appalachian Still even took the stage.

JaredSara-2A wonderful time was had by all, and many guests stayed singing and dancing late into the night. A prime example of how life should be lived … With great friends, a wonderful family and not a worry in the world. JaredSara-5
